Benguet Governor orders mandatory wearing of masks in public places

In line with the extended Luzonwide enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), Benguet Governor Melchor Diclas has ordered the mandatory wearing of face masks or improvised protective equipment in the province to help lessen the risk of local transmission of COVID-19.

Based on Executive Order 2020-024, residents of Benguet municipalities who go out of their houses should observe strict social distancing measures and wear face masks or any alternative covering (D.I.Y., homemade, indigenous, or reusable masks) when in public.

Residents who will be violating this order will be punished based on applicable laws.
