Baguio Night Market Resumes Operations Today



It was announced on the Public Information Office (PIO) – City of Baguio Facebook page that the Night Market will resume operations today, December 11, 2020 (Friday), from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The announcement was posted on December 9, 2020 (Wednesday).

“NIGHT MARKET to resume operations on December 11, 2020 from 8:00PM to 11PM under health and safety protocols made stricter to avoid a repeat of the December 1 incident, according to Market Supt. Fernando Ragma Jr.”

Furthermore, on the announcement, the Night Market will resume operations under stricter health and safety protocols according to Market Supt. Fernando Ragma Jr.

On December 2, 2020, Mayor Magalong has suspended the night market operation which reopened on December 1 after apparent lapses in crown control.  With that, the Baguio Mayor has ordered the market superintendent and the city treasurer to conduct a post-assessment of the night market re-opening and evaluate the incident.

Also, according to the PIO-Baguio Facebook post, here is the layout of entry and exit points with a lesser number of stalls scheduled per week.

  1. I won’t go there! Last time I checked the president said everyone who doesn’t comply with the law will be shot, killed and slaughtered.

    Last I heard was there’s a curfew.. and every evening after 8 the roads get very empty, after 9 I see no one on the roads here in my barangay
    and the police patrolling with their “BRRR BRR” sound and “WOO WOO” after 9..

    So what good is this night market, if I can’t return to my barangay without the president ordering the police to shoot, kill and slaughter me?

    My golden rule during the martial law:”be home before dark”

    That’s the safest to avoid getting shot, killed and slaughtered ROFLMAO
