Reason Behind the Suspension

According to Resolution No. 325, “Requiring the online sellers to process business permits at this moment in time where economic hardships are obtaining within the midst is surely uncalled for and irrational.”

Previously, Baguio City, among many other areas in the country, has been placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and then the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The city has then adopted the said resolution to extend reprieve to these sellers as they have also been affected the pandemic and the community quarantines just like businesses that have closed and people who lost their livelihood.
