Baguio City Logs 38 New Cases, 30 Recoveries, and 3 Fatalities Today



Baguio City has recorded 38 new cases; 30 recoveries, and 3 fatalities today (Wednesday), January 13, 2021. This update was provided by the Public Information Office of the City of Baguio earlier this evening through their latest monitoring. Below are more details on the new cases.

38 New Cases in Baguio City

Among the new cases, 30 were contact traced, and 8  are symptomatic. These are the details of the new cases today:

  • 74-year-old Female
    • Admitted at BGHMC on December 3, 2020 and died on January 12, 2021.
    • Final Diagnosis: Acute Respiratory Failure secondary to nosocomial pneumonia on top of CAP-HRCOVID-19 confirmed severe. Recovered AKI, Multifactorial on top of CRI secondary to Diabetes Mellitus, Nephropathy, Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease in CHF 111-C, DM type II, IR, Hypertension

  • 45-year-old Female
    • Admitted at BGHMC and died on January 11, 2021.
    • Final Diagnosis: Sudden Cardiac Arrest secondary to Acute Coronary Syndrome, Acute Respiratory Failure secondary to Asphyxia, COVID-19, Chronic Kidney Disease secondary to Diabetic Nephropathy, on Hemodialysis

  • 18-year-old Female
    • Admitted and died on January 12, 2021, at BGHMC.
    • Final Diagnosis: Hypoxic Anoxic Encephalopathy, Status Epilepticus, Epilepsy, Intellectual Delay, COVID-19 Confirmed

Total Cases in Baguio City

These new cases bring the total number of cases in Baguio City to 4,278. And, 3,828 already have recovered, 369 cases are still active, and 81 fatalities were recorded.
