6 new Cases of COVID-19 Recorded in Benguet; 1 in Abra
The province of Benguet has recorded six (6) additional cases of COVID-19 today, July 26, 2020. The province of Abra has also reported an additional case to the tally.
New COVID-19 Cases in Benguet
Here’s what we know so far about the six new cases recorded in the province of Benguet:
- A 49-year old male who is a bank employee in Baguio City from Barangay Virac, Itogon; Patient is asymptomatic and is currently admitted at Benguet General Hospital;
- A 25-year old male from La Trinidad with mild symptoms;
- A 31-year old male construction worker from Twin Peaks, Tuba, who was swabbed on July 24, 2020. He is asymptomatic;
- A 35-year old male also from Philex Mines, Camp 3, Tuba; He is a returning OFW from Qatar who arrived in the Philippines last July 16, 2020, and was swab tested at Wangal, La Trinidad on July 24, 2020 and was transferred directly to Tuba Quarantine Facility. He is asymptomatic.
- A 31-year old female. She is asymptomatic;
- A 24-year old male with mild symptoms
Immediate Lockdown Orders in Benguet
To facilitate contact tracing regarding some of the new cases in Benguet, the following has been placed on lockdown effective today, until further notice:
- Whole of Barangay Virac, Itogon;
- Barangay Twin Peaks, Tuba
New COVID-19 Case in Abra
The new case in Abra is a 28-year old female who is asymptomatic. She is the eighteenth COVID-19 case of the province and is a Department of Health midwife assigned in the municipality of Lacub.
