5 New COVID-19 Cases and 6 Recoveries Recorded in Baguio City



Five (5) patients in the City of Baguio have tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The City of Baguio has also logged 6 recoveries. This is according to the Daily COVID-19 Monitoring Update reported by the Public Information Office of Baguio City.

5 New COVID-19 Cases in Baguio City

Here are the details of the new COVID-19 cases in the city:

  • 21-year-old Female from Lower Magasaysay and with mild symptoms (based on DOH-CAR data).
  • 22-year-old Male from Lower Magasaysay and asymptomatic (based on DOH-CAR data).
  • 58-year-old Female from Irisan and with mild symptoms (based on DOH-CAR data).
  • 23-year-old Female from Lower Magasaysay and asymptomatic (based on DOH-CAR data).
  • 20-year-old Female and asymptomatic (based on DOH-CAR data).

All of the new cases were the result of expanded testing (ET) who were tested in response to the of Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong for mandatory testing.

In addition, four of the new cases in the city are workers of a remittance center.

Furthermore, to prevent contraction and transmission of the virus, Mayor Magalong called on establishments frequented by public such as banks and remittance centers to increase their health and safety measures.

COVID-19 Cases in Baguio City

As of date, the City of Baguio has recorded 362 confirmed COVID-19 cases 83 active cases, 269 recoveries, and 10 fatalities.
