12 New COVID-19 Cases, 6 Recoveries and 1 Fatality Recorded in Baguio City




The city of Baguio has recorded 12 new cases of COVID-19, six (6) recoveries, and one (1) fatality today, September 2, 2020.

Furthermore, nine of the new cases were from the ongoing expanded testing (ET), two were the result of contact tracing (CT) and one patient had symptoms (S).

12 New COVID-19 Cases

These are the information about the new cases:

  • 64-year-old  Male from Pacdal with symptoms.
  • 36-year-old Female and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 35-year-old Male San Antonio Village from and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 56-year-old Male from Loakan-Apugan and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 32-year-old Male and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 19-year-old Female and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 40-year-old Female and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 28-year-old Female and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 26-year-old Male and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 18-year-old Female and a result of the ongoing expanded testing.
  • 25-year-old Female and a result of contact tracing.
  • 42-year-old Female from Campo Filipino and a result of contact tracing.

One Fatality

According to the Baguio City COVID-19 Monitoring, the city has recorded one fatality. Here are the details posted in the Public Information Office (PIO) – Baguio City Facebook Page:

  • A baby born on August 1, 2020 in Mt. Province was brought to the Baguio General Hospital Medical Center (BGHMC) on August 4, 2020 for congenital heart disease and tested negative for COVID-19.
  • The baby was referred to UP PGH on August 9, 2020 and tested positive for COVID-19 on August 10, 2020.
  • On August 20, 2020 the baby died while the heart procedure was being done.

COVID-19 Cases in Baguio City

As of date, Baguio City has recorded 357 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 84 active cases, 263 recoveries, and 10 fatalities.
